Legal Prep’s mission is to use its unique legal-themed curriculum and culture of high expectations to cultivate compassion, self-motivation, reflection and advocacy in young adults who will be prepared to succeed at outstanding four-year colleges and universities.

Our Vision

Legal Prep’s vision is to offer a rigorous college-prep curriculum that includes the core courses of English, math, science, social studies, and foreign language, supplemented with our award-winning legal programming. Our students will develop the skills that all great lawyers possess: excellent written and oral communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and advocacy, and will graduate with the mindset and tools to become the next generation of lawyers and leaders in their communities and their professions.

What Makes Our Model Unique

Legal Prep combines rigorous academics with immersive legal exposure—starting in middle school and building through high school. Here’s what sets us apart:

Law-Infused Curriculum

Students explore legal topics through classes like Street Law, Law in Literature, constitutional law, and criminal law. Students can earn dual credit in their junior and senior years. All students also participate in a monthly experiential learning program where they visit law firms and corporations, and learn skills like negotiations, mock trial and debate.

College and Career Readiness

All students receive intentional support toward their post-secondary goals, with programs like ACT prep, FAFSA workshops, resume coaching, and college counseling beginning in the 9th grade.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

Our trauma-informed, equity-driven approach supports student wellness, emotional intelligence, and leadership development through dedicated SEL courses and trained staff.

Mentorship & Legal Partnerships

We partner with local and national law firms, universities, corporations and the judiciary to offer monthly law-themed experiences, internships, mentorship programs, and field trips that bring learning to life.

Civic Engagement

Students participate in service learning, community events, and restorative justice projects that build civic agency and pride.
